Since this tool is designed for use with air compressors which can produce high air pressure output, it is normal to experience air leaks every now and then. Fortunately, there are a few things you can do to both prevent and fix this problem.
First, it is important that you listen for air leaks after you set-up your FlowPro™ to your compressor so you can determine what component the air is escaping from.
Here are the most likely components where you may experience this issue, and how to correct it:
Simply use the hand trigger to deflate air by gently squeezing it until you can hear the air escaping. You can do this even when not connected to an air compressor.
For inflation, all you need to do is fully squeeze the trigger (when connected to an air compressor).
There is a known issue with Duracell brand batteries which sometimes causes problems with digital pressure gauges. Please try a different brand of batteries if you have this issue.
Yes, the readout will show 0 PSI during inflation until the hand trigger is released, and then it will show current pressure inside the tire.
You can use any air tool with 1/4" NPT threading, which is the gold standard for pneumatic air tools in the USA.
You can check out our full line of exclusive 1/4" NPT air chucks here.
This gauge is calibrated and certified highly accurate to 1% full scale range, or ±2 PSI.
This inflator comes fully equipped with everything to get you started working with an air compressor. All you need is a nice quality air compressor. You have many options on how to connect the FlowPro™ to your compressor.
Option #1 - Connect directly to the air compressor hose
If your air hose from the compressor has male 1/4" NPT threading, you can connect the hose directly to the female threading on the bottom of the FlowPro™ handle without needing any other accessories. Please make sure to use a proper amount of thread seal tape, and tighten the connection with a wrench so it is secure to avoid leaks.
Option #2 - Connect using quick-connect accessories
Many of our customers use a quick-connect setup. For your conveience, we have included a quick-connect steel plug (fitting) with your purchase. All you need is a compatible 1/4" NPT quick-connect coupler. Please make sure to use a proper amount of thread seal tape, and tighten the connection with a wrench so it is secure to avoid leaks.
Also note - this inflator is not designed to work with 12V portable tire inflators. This is a shop-quality tool engineered for use with heavy duty equipment.
